Terri Randall, Director

Terri has been directing and producing documentaries for more than 20 years. Her independent documentary short, Daughter of the Bride, was nominated for an Academy Award.

Since 2008, she has directed more than a dozen documentaries for PBS’s NOVA series. Her 2022 documentary Ultimate Space Telescope, the story of the James Webb Space Telescope, was nominated for a News & Documentary Emmy 2023.

Roberta Friedman, Producer

Friedman has produced and directed short films and documentaries, receiving grant funding from various institutions including the Contemporary Arts Foundation, NYSCA, the NEA, the NEH, the Kresge Foundation and Michigan Humanities among others.  Recent feature documentaries she produced include the prize winning Medicare and the Civil Rights Revolution (2018) and The Best of the Best: Jazz from Detroit (2024) currently screening at numerous film festivals.

Tavori was a journalist in Israel for many years, covering politics and major events in the Middle East; he worked as a producer, writer and host of Radio and TV News programs and later as an opinion columnist at a Daily Newspaper. In the US since 1985, he first worked for the Israeli Government as Press Secretary for the Israeli Ambassador to the UN. Since 1990 he has been working in production at Randall Productions.

Greg King, Journalist and Environmental Activist

Greg King is an American journalist and environmental activist based in Northern California. He serves as the President and Executive Director of the Siskiyou Land Conservancy, a non-profit land trust. King is credited with discovering and naming the Headwaters Forest and is the author of *The Ghost Forest: Racists, Radicals, and Real Estate in the California Redwoods*, which details the history of redwood logging and conservation efforts. His writing has garnered four journalism awards, including two Lincoln Steffens Investigative Journalism Awards.

Howard Russell, Environmental Videographer

Howard Russell is an exceptional environmental videographer who filmed much of the archival footage for "War of the Woods." He documented critical events in the history of the conflict over forest preservation, including the massive flooding that occurred from the late 1990s into the 2000s. He also recorded local community meetings to gather evidence for the legal battles fought against Maxxam/Pacific Lumber, and travelled with Kaiser Aluminum steel workers to document their fight against Hurwitz.

Jeny Card, Former Activist and Treesitter

For 361 days, Jeny Card (“Remedy”) lived on a 4x8 foot platform in an ancient redwood tree to prevent it from being cut down. She has firsthand knowledge and a deep understanding of the significant role women played in the environmental movement behind the "Redwood Curtain."
